Youth Members
In order to guarantee and insure the success of the greatest and best structured breed club of Belgium for the future, the Union Administration is working on the foundation of the youth working. The object of this is to start a special youth policy in the largest meaning of the word and the filling-in of it.
Our sister union in Holland, the V.D.H., has more experience in this matter for several years and has promised to advise and assist us in the achievement of a purposive youth policy. 
So we know which things appeal to the youth in V.V.D.H.: youth camps, youth-synologic weekends, new events such as youth days, agility competition and information days.
Youth camps
Once a year a youth camp is organised by a Dutch local V.D.H.-club. Usually this camp takes place in the month of July or August. It starts on Monday and it ends on Saturday. The camp is meant for youth members of the Dutch V.D.H- and the Flemish V.V.D.H. till the age of 20 years.
The theme of this week is the young master of a German Shepherd Dog and of course it is also a little bit vacation. You can do several thing in this week: besides the training your dog there are trips and treasure hunts. You can be sure that you do funny and various thing. The best thing of the camp is that you spend a whole week with contemporaries who, just like you, love their dog.
The week ends with a competition on Friday for uncertified dogs. The youngsters play what they and their dogs can do at that time. And on Saturday there is a competition for the certified dogs, at which a real competition is played in the real SchH-program.
